CPPJ Advertisement for Bid Project #SA03740 - 1863 Main St, Haynesville LA - 08-04-2020 - Tuesday, August 4, 2020

CLAIBORNE PARISH POLICE JURY is soliciting bids for asbestos abatement services for the former Fred’s Building located at 1863 Main Street, Haynesville, LA 71038. Separate and sealed bids shall be received by the Owner at Claiborne Parish Police Jury at 507 West Main Street, Homer, LA 71040-0270 until 2:00 PM CST, Tuesday, August 4, 2020. Proposals shall be submitted by mail, courier or hand delivery. Envelopes must be sealed and clearly identified as:

"Former Fred’s Building – Project Number SA03740
Asbestos Abatement"
with the Bidders’ Company Name, Contractor’s License, and
Company Address on the outside of the envelope.

Each bid shall be made upon the forms provided in the Bidding Documents and shall be accompanied by a 5% bid bond. No bid may be withdrawn after bids are opened. The Owner reserves the right to reject any or all bids and waive irregularities in the bid.

A mandatory pre-bid meeting is scheduled for 10:00 AM CST on Tuesday, July 14, 2020. Bidders shall meet at the site, located at 1863 Main Street, Haynesville, LA 71038. All bidders must attend this meeting to be permitted to bid on this project. Bid documents and specifications will be available at the pre-bid meeting.

The successful Bidder shall be required to furnish a Performance and Payment bond written as described in the instructions to Bidders included in the Bid Document for this project.
Bids shall be accepted from contractors who are licensed under LA. R.S. 37:2150-2192 for the appropriate classification of Asbestos Abatement. Bidder is required to comply with provisions and requirements of LA R.S.38:2212(A)(1)(c). No bid may be withdrawn for a period of thirty (30) days after receipt of bids, except under the provisions of LA. R.S. 37:2214.

The successful Bidder shall be required to furnish properly executed contracts, specified certificates of insurance, and bonds must be returned to the Claiborne Parish Police Jury within 10 working days of notice of award or may declare bidder non-responsible and award to next lowest qualified bid.

The owner reserves the right to reject any and all bids for just cause. In accordance with LA. R.S. 38:2212 (A)(1)(b), the provisions and requirements of this Section, those stated in the advertisement bids, and those required on the bid form shall not be considered as informalities and shall not be waived by any public entity.
