RE: Notice of Road Committee Meeting


A meeting of the Road Committee has been called for the morning of Wednesday, July 9, 2025, at 9:00 a.m. in the Conference Room at the Police Jury Complex located at 507 West Main Street in Homer, LA.


The agenda is as follows –


1. Update on the closed Hwy 146 Relief Bridge over Caney Creek.


2. Update on the roof replacement at the Clerk of Courts Office.


3. Posted position of Operator II (in-house).


4. Discussion of purchase of new pick-up trucks for the Hwy Dept from 2024 Act 776 $125,000 line-item monies.


5. Revisit request from Jimmy Hand concerning installation of two Claiborne Parish signs within the Parish – estimated cost $5,000


6. Request from Colonial Life Ins Representative to meet with the Personnel/Finance Committees for present new products to the Parish Employees.


7. Presentation of possible dates & timelines for 2026 Election concerning curbside trash pickup in the areas of the Parish outside the incorporated limits of Homer & Haynesville. The current 1% tax expires on December 31, 2026.


8. Per the request of District One Juror Larry Ford – Discussion of the Pelican Cove Townhomes Project on Hwy 2


9. Any other personnel related issues.


10. Any other financial related issues.


11. Any other Parish building related issues.


12. Any other road, equipment, or other parish related issues
