RE: Notice of Road Committee Meeting
A meeting of the Road Committee has been called for the morning of Wednesday, March 4, 2026, at 9:00 a.m. in the Conference Room at the Police Jury Complex located at 507 West Main Street in Homer, LA.
The agenda is as follows –
1. Update on equipping all CPPJ Hwy Dept vehicles and equipment with GPS tracking for security purposes.
2. Continued discussion & update on the proposed new 2% sales tax concerning trash pickup within the Parish outside of the incorporated areas of Homer and Haynesville (current 1% expires on 12/31/2026) – will be on April 8 agenda
3. Request from Road Superintendents Brant Cupp & Chad Verdin to not renew the Hwy Dept’s subscription to HiperWeb road maintenance program when it expires in May 2026 and to contract with Data Scout ONEMAP for their services – estimated savings of $2,500 per year
4. Discussion of needs for Line-Item supplemental funding requests which are due back to Senator Cathey by March 6
5. Any other personnel related issues.
6. Any other financial related issues.
7. Any other Parish building related issues.
8. Any other road, equipment, or other parish related issues
