CONSENT AGENDA:


6. Approval of February 4, 2026, regular meeting minutes as published in the Official Journal.


7. Payment of the February 2026 bills as approved by the Claims Committee.


8. Request from the Cabey Ranger District, in a letter received on February 19, 2026, requesting assistance from the CPPJ Hwy Department with the repair of potholes on the Corney Lake Main Boat Launch. Work will be done under the cooperative endeavor agreement between the Police Jury and the District.


9. Request from the Village of Junction City Louisiana, in an email received on February 26, 2026, requesting assistance with repairs on Myrtle Street. Work will be done under the Village’s ad valorem tax credit.


REGULAR AGENDA:


10. Reminder – one (1) hour of ethics training is required to be completed by December 31, 2026, for all Jurors and Parish Employees. - https://laethics.net/EthicsTraining/login.aspx


11. Reminder – one (1) hour of Sexual Harassment Training is required to be completed by December 31, 2026, by all Parish Employees – Department Heads and Jury Officers have a two (2) hour training requirement. - https://www.lma.org/LMA/LMA/Programs/Online_Training.aspx


12. Reminder – one (1) hour of Cybersecurity Training is required for all employees who have access to the Police Jury’s computer network system. - https://www.lma.org/LMA/LMA/Programs/Online_Training.aspx


13. Reminder – Jurors’ personal financial disclosure statements for 2025 are due by May 15, 2026.


14. Notice – our auditors, Bosch & Statham CPAs, will be here the week of April 13-17 to do fieldwork and testing for the preparation of our 2024 Financial Statements & AUP Report.


15. Notice – by CPFPD #6 that Notice is hereby given that at its meeting to be held on Monday, March 9, 2026, at 6:00 pm at its regular meeting place, the District plans to consider adopting a resolution ordering and calling an election to be held in District 6 of Claiborne Parish, State of La, to authorize the levy of an ad valorem tax therein.


16. Notice – the 2026-2027 Claiborne Parish Population Estimate as submitted by the LSU AgCenter Department of Agricultural Economics and Agribusiness is 13,382. (Prior year was 13.502 which is a decrease of 120 individuals or -0.89%)


17. Renewal of the lease with DART for use of office space in the CPPJ-OOCS Building located at 621 South Main Street, Homer LA – the amount remains the same at $350 per month.


18. Notice – 30 Day Municipal Letter from AMG Technology Investments dba Nextlink, will begin construction on broadband infrastructure in project LA-Athens-EA-1 on 1/18/2027 as part of GUMBO 2.0 project funded by ConnectLA.


19. Notice – 30 Day Municipal Letter from AMG Technology Investments dba Nextlink, will begin construction on broadband infrastructure in project LA-Summerfield-CN-1 on 2/22/2027 as part of GUMBO 2.0 project funded by ConnectLA.


20. Renewal of the Cooperative Agreement between the LSU AgCenter (4-H Extension Service Office) and the Claiborne Parish Police Jury for the five-year period February 2026 through February 2031.


21. Acceptance and awarding of the lowest qualified bid for the new Haynesville Branch of the Claiborne Parish Library pending recommendation of Mr. Wayne Coco, AIA – apparent low bidder is Benchmark Construction Group of Louisiana LLC, Sterlington LA, owner Zach Brister, with a bid of $1,201,000


22. Presentation of the list of Proposed Roads for the Parish’s 2026 Chip & Seal Maintenance Program – total of 23.3 miles with an estimated cost of $500,000


23. CPPJ Hardship Application - Wanda & Johnny Tucker of 103 Montrell Drive, Homer LA, driveway repairs


24. Recommendations for supplemental State Funding for the Parish which are due to Senator’s Cathey’s Office by March 6, 2026.
