RE: Notice of Road Committee Meeting


A meeting of the Road Committee has been called for the morning of Wednesday, October 7, 2026, at 9:00 a.m. in the Conference Room at the Police Jury Complex located at 507 West Main Street in Homer, LA.


The agenda is as follows –


1. Discussion of additional public meeting places and dates (if needed) for discussion and presentation of informational materials for the upcoming sales tax elections.


2. Update on the bush hogging program.


3. Update on the chip sealing program.


4. Off-System Bridge Program meeting is Wednesday, October 28 at 8:30 am at the LADOTD Office in Bossier.


5. Notice from LA Board of Contractors – per LA RS 37:3730(C)(2) of Act 881 of the Regular Session – all parishes and municipalities will be required to remit to the board a fee of $10.00 for each permit issued in the Parish/Municipality.


6. Discussion about revisiting the CPPJ’s decision to allocate a portion of the Parish’s Opioid Abatement Lawsuit Funds to Connections LLC of Shreveport, LA for the establishment of an Opioid Treatment program in Claiborne Parish and other matters concerning


7. Any other personnel related issues.


8. Any other financial related issues.


9. Any other Parish building related issues.


10. Any other road, equipment, or other parish related issues
