9. Reminder – one (1) hour of ethics training is required to be completed by December 31, 2026, for all Jurors and Parish Employees. - https://laethics.net/EthicsTraining/login.aspx
10. Notice of Special Election – NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that a special election will be held within the CP Sales Tax District on TUESDAY, NOVEMBER 3, 2026, and that at the said election there will be submitted to all registered voters in the District qualified and entitled to vote at the said election under the Constitution and Laws of the State of Louisiana and the Constitution of the United States, the following proposition, to-wit

Notice of Special Election – NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that a special election will be held within the CP Sales Tax District No. 2 on TUESDAY, NOVEMBER 3, 2026, and that at the said election there will be submitted to all registered voters in the District qualified and entitled to vote at the said election under the Constitution and Laws of the State of Louisiana and the Constitution of the United States, the following proposition, to-wit
14. Attorney Clay Carroll, Candidate for Judge, Division B of the 2nd Judicial District Court
15. Mr. Colby Bowman, Candidate for District Attorney for the 2nd Judicial District
16. Presentation of the 2025 Financial Statements, Audit Report and AUP Report – Bosch & Statham CPAs
17. Request from Claiborne Parish DART representative, in an email received on September 29, 2016, requesting the Police Jury’s permission to display the silhouettes on the Court House Lawn for the week of October 19-24 in observance of Domestic Violence Awareness Month.
18. Request from the Evergreen Fire Protection District, in a letter received on September 22, 2026, requesting that the Police Jury reappoint Lavetra Johnson of 754 Evergreen School Road, Minden LA to another two-year term that will expire on June 1, 2026.
19. Request for the Police Jury to call a public hearing concerning the required revisions to its Section 8 Voucher Administrative Plan.
20. Notice – the CPPJ has called a hearing to request input from the public concerning its proposing comprehensive revisions to its Section 8 Housing Choice Voucher Administrative Plan. These Updates are required to align local policies with major federal statutory overhauls enacted by the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD), including the Housing Opportunity Through Modernization Act (HOTMA), NSPIRE Inspection Standards, and recent HUD cost-containment mandates. The hearing will be held on Tuesday, November 10, 2026, at 2:00 pm in the conference room of the Claiborne Parish Police Jury Administrative Building located at 507 West Main St. in Homer, La

Extended from September 9th meeting - Acceptance and awarding of highest sealed bid for the purchase of the duly advertised for bids for the Surplus Sale of Parcel No. 8320023150 1914 Main Street, Haynesville LA (old Planters/Cap One Bank Bldg & parking lot) and Parcel No. 8320032200 1920 Main Street, Hayneville LA (adjacent lot).
22. Request from the CPWSD in a letter dated September 22, 2026, requesting the Police Jury to take the necessary actions to start the process for renewal of the 1/8th percent parish wide sales tax that expires on December 31, 2027. They would like to call it for the spring election cycle.
23. Request from the CPWSD, in a letter dated September 22, 2026, requesting permission from the Police Jury to borrow $600,000 in certificates of indebtedness for the Hwy 146 landing project pending the approval of the 1/8% sales tax renewal in the spring of 2027.
24. Announcement of Public Meeting – Notice is hereby given that at its meeting to be held on November 4, 2026, at 10:00 am at its regular meeting place, the Jury Chambers of the Police Jury Complex, 507 West Main Street, Homer, Louisiana, the Police Jury of the Parish of Claiborne, State of Louisiana, plans to consider adopting a resolution ordering and calling an election to be held in the Parish of Claiborne, State of Louisiana, to authorize the levy of a sales and use tax and the issuance of general obligation bonds therein.
25. Presentation of the Tentative Schedule of Events for the renewal of the 1/8% parish wide sales tax for the benefit of the Claiborne Parish Watershed District.
